What do you want people to know about your business?
Archive Modern Homes is set on shifting the design and construction industry to an integrated approach. It took me a good decade to understand how design-build could work better, and I figured out how to operate most effectively. I am a graduate of SCIArc and have been designing for 20 years. Todd has been building for over 30 years in a variety of environments.
What makes your approach unique?
We can design or build, or design and- build. If not hired for the design, we can come in early with the project architect and engineer. With our in-field expertise, we support the integrity of the architectural plan and help balance schedules and budgets. With design-build, the project can evolve with the client. We get the ball rolling with a permit set, start the work and continue designing as we go. At least 10 percent of design calls that take the project from good to great are made in the field. This organic process allows us to create beauty that is inherent to the client’s function and environment.
How do you offer your clients the ultimate in customer service?
We are always available and focused on communication. We like to build relationships — we interview clients as much as they interview us, so we know it will be a good partnership.
