This past year presented a host of challenges, from the Covid-19 pandemic to wildfires, smoke and increasing drought, but the adaptivity of local farmers, ranchers and their workforce made for a stellar year, as noted in the recent 2020 annual Marin County Crop & Livestock Report.
“Our ag producers are used to change and having to adapt and innovate on the go,” says Agricultural Commissioner Stefan Parnay. “In the end, they are a resilient group of individuals who know how to face adversity and make the most out of an extremely difficult situation.” Here is a look at some of the numbers.
