Applications Are Open for Emerging Black Composers Project

The San Francisco Conservatory of Music, in partnership with the San Francisco Symphony, is now accepting applications for the annual Emerging Black Composers Project, its Michael Morgan Prize and the Cabrillo Emerging Black Composers Prize. Applications are due February 1 and are open to Black American composers age 35 or younger (in 2023) who have completed a degree program in composition or music performance or have equivalent experience.
