4 Reasons to Go to San Francisco This October

Off the Grid’s Friday night food parties continue to draw crowds to Fort Mason Center. This month’s themes include Taco Takeover on October 6 and Kimchi + K-Pop on October 27. The 2023 San Francisco Fall Show takes place October 12 to 15 at Fort Mason Center, with an Opening Night Gala on October 11. This year’s theme is La Dolce Vita. Art lovers in the Bay Area can experience Yayoi Kusama: Infinite Love beginning October 14 at SFMOMA, and the presentation will include two Infinity Mirror Rooms. Kusama’s sculpture “Aspiring to Pumpkin’s Love, the Love in My Heart” (2023) will also be on display. “We are thrilled that Kusama’s new immersive artwork will have its West Coast premiere at SFMOMA, exciting and inspiring new audiences and longtime fans alike,” says Christopher Bedford, the Helen and Charles Schwab Director at SFMOMA. Tony Award winner Alan Cumming is bringing Alan Cumming Is Not Acting His Age to the Curran Theater for one night on November 2. The cabaret show explores the topic of aging.
