Purchase Plans Being Made for Martha Co. Property

A unanimous vote from the Tiburon Town Council has paved the way for the contribution of $1 million toward the preservation of the 110-acre Martha Co. property on the Tiburon Peninsula. Marin County needs $26.1 million to purchase the property from the Trust for Public Land and has voter-approved funds from Measure A tax revenue, left over bond measures and Measure M. “This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to save a truly beautiful and vital piece of Tiburon,” says Tiburon mayor Jon Welner.
