8 Bay Area Places Where You Can Find Live Music This Summer

Silverado Resort invites guests, members and property owners to two days of Independence Day celebrations. On the 3rd, enjoy a barbecue with live music, and on the 4th, groove to the DJ’s tunes at the pool party.


San Francisco Symphony’s summer season blasts off at Shoreline Amphitheatre on July 4th, followed by Stern Grove Festival on the 7th. A variety of special performances are scheduled throughout the month, and the season wraps with Justin Hurwitz conducting as La La Land plays on August 3 and 4.


Cornerstone Sonoma’s annual summer music series is in full swing, with shows lined up every Saturday through September. Enjoy food and drinks while listening to free shows from acts like Derek Irving on July 6 and Lavender Fields Band on August 10.


Festival Napa Valley’s signature annual tasting event, Taste of Napa, makes its return on July 13 at Meritage Resort and Spa. In addition to the culinary offerings and flowing wine, Neon Velvet will put on a lively performance of contemporary hits and beloved classics.


HopMonk Tavern in Novato is still welcoming music lovers to its Annual Cookout Concert Series. July and August boast a busy lineup of performances, with artists like Toad the Wet Sprocket on July 19 and 20 and Taj Farrant on August 30.


Calling all Deadheads: Sunday Daydream Volumes 3 and 4 featuring Phil Lesh & Friends is happening at McNears Beach Park in San Rafael on July 21 and August 18. The all-day festivals include music, food and fun for kids.


Larkmead Vineyards continues its Sunset Serenade series with gatherings on July 26 and August 30. The events feature live acoustic music, current release wines and local bites, all paired with the winery’s scenic backdrop.


Celebrate the 20th anniversary of San Anselmo’s Beatles in the Park concert with a performance by the Liddypudlians on July 27. The show is at Creek Park and ticket proceeds go toward the San Anselmo Arts Commission.
